“Luz al Silencio” is the first solo exhibition at Galería Juan Silió by the artist Vicky Uslé. The exhibition brings together a body of work produced over the past year, reflecting a sustained attention to material processes and the forms of perception they activate. Blown glass and works on paper trace a transition between painting and volume, expanding the pictorial language into space: the works on paper function as traces of a moment in transformation, recording the shadows cast when light passes through glass. In this way, form is not presented as a fixed result, but as something that emerges from the relationship between light, matter, and bodily experience.
The exhibition is accompanied by a text written by Tiago de Abreu Pinto, writer and independent curator.
