Nuno Nunes-Ferreira works with the concept of memory, and it is from the past that he draws each of his new ideas for the development of his work. He seeks aesthetic beauty in the harsh images of our collective past, achieving his aim of prompting reflection on different episodes of world history, on human beings, and on other moments that time has attempted to erase or, at times, to deny.
Nuno Nunes-Ferreira has been exhibiting regularly since 2000 in both institutions and galleries. Among his most recent solo exhibitions are: prima Ester (Balcony Gallery, Lisbon, 2025); Nada Pela Nação (Museum of Contemporary Art of Madeira, 2024); Arquivo ou Caleidoscópio? (Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, Lisbon, 2024); Tan nuevo y tan cerca (Galeria Juan Silió, Madrid, 2024); Ano Sabático (Appleton [Square], Lisbon, 2024); And participated in group exhibitions, including: Inquietud.
